SRL (limited liability company)
Last verified: 24 Oct 2026 · Status: Stable
The sociedad de responsabilidad limitada (SRL) suits closely held businesses. It has 2 to 50 partners whose liability is limited to their quotas. There is no legal minimum capital, though registries may object to capital that is clearly insufficient. US investors sometimes prefer it because it can be treated as a partnership for US tax purposes; take US advice.
